My Top 3 Mistakes As a Business Owner

1️⃣ Thinking clients would just come because I post on Instagram.
At the beginning I believed that if I just kept posting, the clients would magically show up. Reality check: Instagram is only one acquisition channel. Once I started learning different ways to generate leads, my business became way more consistent and profitable.

2️⃣ Thinking if someone pays me, it means I’m profitable.
Getting paid does NOT automatically mean you’re making money. There are so many hidden costs, app subscriptions, ads, gas, supplies, and most importantly your time and experience. Profit only happens when you actually account for everything.

3️⃣ Lowering my value with constant discounts.
I used to try to fit into everyone’s budget because I thought that’s what I had to do. But constantly discounting only lowered my perceived value. Once I realized that not everyone is my customer, everything changed. The right clients will find you when you stand firm in your value.

Building a business comes with lessons. These were some of mine.

If you’re a business owner, which one did you learn the hard way? 💭
